Holiday Drives!

Holiday Drives: Does your school bring in canned food or turkeys during the holiday season?

The Pres student body brought in $52,500 in canned food donations, baby formula, hygiene products, and thanksgiving items!  Sacred Heart had to come to Presentation multiple times to load their trucks with food!  On the last day of the drive, not only were the donation tables overflowing, but the students also brought in 613 turkeys!  That means 613 more families in San Jose were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with a delicious turkey on the table. Then our successful Penny Drive brought in $10,969 that goes towards meat and fresh vegetables and fruit to add to the food that is given out.  At the end of the school day on the Thursday of Penny Drive we announced that the students needed to bring in $9000 to match our total from last year - and they did it!

  1. Wow that's a lot of food! Actually we do have something just like that. Just a couple of months ago, each grade was assigned to a specific perishable food item and we saw how much each class could bring in the most food! It is a lot of fun!
